We are dedicated to expanding End of Life conversations; sharing the challenges of the medical system, and helping you plan for this phase of life, and the death - you want.

We want to help you and the people you care about have tough conversations about living the life you want, particularly as you enter/plan for the last chapter of it. Aging and illness can expose vulnerabilities that we are often unprepared for. In the US, we don’t have many good role models for aging or dying with dignity.

Our work is born out of witnessing the profound disappointment that arises when these conversations don’t go as planned, or are not had at all. Many families feel confused, conflicted, or overwhelmed when a love one becomes very ill, or faces a terminal diagnosis. 75% of us want to die at home. Only 25% of us will. We hope to help you and your loved ones prepare for these inevitable and sacred thresholds.

Questions we often explore with our clients include:

  • What is your understanding of your illness, and how is it impacting your life? How can you talk about it?

  • Who do you want on your team and what do you want them to know?

  • What does it mean to “do everything” and is that in my best interest? What are my alternatives?

  • What outcomes are you most afraid of and how can you prevent them from happening?

  • What are your hopes and goals for the life you have left to live?

Our team combines a family physician (husband) with a psychotherapist (wife) with over 50 years of combined experience. Learn more about who we are and what we do using the links and resources below.

We work on a Consultation basis in the context of your family and/or your community.

We believe in the transformative power of facing dying directly….

and then going forward with LIFE.
